Emiliano Zapata "El Caudillo del Sur" fue uno de los más grandes líderes revolucionarios, uno de los últimos heroés de México, y una figura admirada por todo el mundo. The Zapatista Army of National Liberation itself took its name from him in 1994 when they rose up in arms. Assassinated by the government on April 10, 1919, this painting recreates one of the photographs taken after his death. A man who fought for the people until the very end, and died for imperialism and fascist control. Mexico, so far from God, so close to the United States.
